To Mom~

Hello Mom.

Happy Birthday!! I won’t give away your age, I promise. But since I can’t spend today with you, I thought I’d write you a little note.

We met nearly 24 years ago in a hospital in Rochester. It wasn’t maybe the best meeting we could have had since I was a bit early and you were a little sick, but it was a great meeting either way. And we’ve been making some amazing memories since that day.

Like vacations to different states, our trip to Seattle, or late night puzzles with way to loud music. You have given me the best life possible, taking care of me, teaching me… annoying me too (lol). I can’t even imagine how boring my life would have been without knowing you.

You have stood by me and supported me though every hardship I’ve faced, every challenge and every hurdle. Remember the solid month of exams I had to do back in high school just to graduate? 15 exams in one month for a fancy diploma… What a stressful time. But I did it. And you helped me get there.

And if it wasn’t for you or dad I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I have with my college education. You pushed and you pushed… and you pushed me to keep going even when I sure as hell didn’t want to. I appreciate that. I can’t say how much I appreciate the fact that you ‘made’ me keep going. Cause where would I be now if I had just stopped then. Not completing a grad program is for sure.

I can’t say enough how much I love and appreciate you. Nor can I ever thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me.

Thank you mom, for everything. And Happy Birthday!! I hope you have an amazing day and I love you!

~Chelsea

P.s. Don’t worry you have an actual present on the way.
