OMG. Just OMG. I totally called it. Just saying. I totally called it. But wow. I can’t seriously think of a complete thought on this one. It’s just. All over the place. I loved it. I really did enjoy how this story progressed. It just wow. Really makes you stop and think for a moment.
Everything, Everything introduces Maddie, an 18-year old that has never left her house. Then a really really cute boy moves in next door and her life turns upside down. The dialogue is cute and simple. And the plot rich and complex.
Maddie wants to live and Oliver gives her a chance to live outside her sterilized house. She breaks all the rule for him and for her heart. It took me so long to actually pick up this one up and I regret not picking it up sooner. There was a lot of hype surrounding it and that usually puts me on the fence on whether I might like it or not. But I did. I really did.
And can we talk about the cover art? I mean damn! Holy Hanna and wow. It is beautiful. I am a sucker for good cover art and this one is spectacular. I’ll confess that I have been known to judge a book by its cover and this time I don’t regret that.
I have not seen the movie adaptation but I have heard that it was really good. If you have seen it let me know what you thought!
